  • Overview

    The Clinical Data Administrator executes daily, weekly and monthly system processing with quality checks using the Medical Management software systems, Acuity, AcuStrat, AcuPrint, and SQL. Writes and maintains process documentation and Cognos/SQL report specification documents to support Medical Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Processing AcuStrat (population management tool) rules with quality checks of data
    • Maintenance, processing and support of the Care Management and Utilization software and ancillary tools, Acuity, AcuPrint and AcuStrat
    • Cognos report development and maintenance, including writing of report specification documents
    • Provides analytical and data reporting support to the department in the completion of ad hoc, routine quarterly and annual department Cognos and SQL reports, including regulatory reports, with quality checks of data
    • Participates in department continuous quality improvement activities
    • Other Duties as assigned by the Vice President of Medical Management and Manager of Clinical Informatics

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years equivalent data/systems experience to equate to a degree
    • Database and spreadsheet proficient, including Microsoft Excel
    • Experienced in the use of analytical tools, such as Cognos or SQL
    • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in communication, with the ability to interact effectively across internal business units

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Cognos report writing
    • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio
    • Prior health care data related experience
