Overview

Implements and maintains information security standards. Conducts analysis, investigates security vulnerabilities and remediates them. Ensures site security and provides consultation on security issues staying abreast of current malware and other potential internet security threats. He/she works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patching assets in test and production environments in order to maintain vulnerability and policy compliance
  • Respond to and remediate security alerts generated from monitoring systems in a timely manner
  • Work with the Information Security team across a variety of technologies and environments to remediate high risk vulnerabilities to the business
  • Analyze and maintain secure configurations
  • Recommend and implement solutions to remediate security vulnerabilities
  • Managing the anti-virus and firewalls on all end points
  • Interface with the Information Security team to report on program status and coordinate risk tracking
  • Stay current on the latest System Security threats and vulnerabilities to take proactive actions to secure the enterprise
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems, procedures and security diagrams
  • Other duties as assigned

This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents

Qualifications

Required:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience Information Systems
  • Minimum 5 years’ of Information Security Experience, working with Vulnerability management tools
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy and DDOS mitigation technologies
  • Strong knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities associated with cloud and on-premise network security
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows AD Group policy management and WSUS integration
  • Hands on experience with SIEM monitoring, Patch Mgmt., and Encryption
  • Familiar with NIST, HiTrust, and CIS Critical Security Controls

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated protocols
  • VMWare and/or virtual server environment administration competency
  • Ability to articulate technical risk issues in business terms
  • Strong understanding of TLS, HTTPS, SFTP, SSH, IPSec
  • Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls, vulnerability scanning (Qualys)
  • GIAC certifications GCED, GCCC a plus
  • Certification CISSP or SSCP a plus
