This position will provide general administrative/clerical assistance and project-related support to the entire department and will support the HEDIS Team in the Analytics unit with project administration tasks and other duties supporting the annual HEDIS data collection, submission, reporting and disseminiation. 


  • Support the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, budgets and resource allocations using project management methods
  • Provide organizational support for quality improvement work groups throughout the organization
  • Assist with preparation of reports for dissemination, including formatting of text, charts, graphs, and tables and layout of final documents
  • Administrative responsibilities: 
    • Oversee the Department's administrative budget, including tracking and managing variances to budget, contracts, purchase orders, check requests, and invoices
    • Collaborate with team members to document key work flows and policies and procedures of the department
    • Take and transcribe minutes at meetings held in support of Quality Improvement, NCQA accreditation, and other programs 
    • Prepare, organize and maintenance of documents and electronic files and support of the Department's SharePoint portal
    • Prepare PowerPoint presentations
    • Calendar management for Director and Managers/Teal Leads
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and paperwork for Director and Managers/Team Leads
    • General clerical duties: faxing, copying, mail distribution, organizing and supporting meetings, ordering supplies, etc. 
  • HEDIS responsibilities: 
    • Assist HEDIS Team with the collection and submission of the Plan's annual HEDIS data 
    • Assist the HEDIS Specialist with the collection and mailing of the Plan's proactive HEDIS mailings
    • Provide support for the production of HEDIS analytical data reports, including - 
      • Review and improvement of report content and format
      • Generation and quality control of standard reports 
    • Support the Plan's HEDIS certified auditor in activities related to the annual audit of HEDIS data and methods
    • Manage and oversee the HEDIS Roadmap
  • Assist the Department with other data-related activities, as needed 
  • Represent the Department on internal workgroups and committees. 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • A High School Degree or equivalent
  • Training/certification in secretarial and/or office administrative procedures
  • Three (3)+ years’ experience working within a project environment utilizing established project methodology
  • Professional experience displaying strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interacting effectively with project teams and sponsors independently
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio), internet
  • Excellent planning, organization and coordination skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Business writing experience
  • Ability to understand and support data analysis activities
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a large group of people from different functional organizations
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement methods


  • Education beyond High School Degree
  • Exposure to and understanding of the health care delivery system
  • Managed care experience
  • Experience with various software applications
  • Experience in SharePoint collaboration software
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures and HEDIS data collection methods
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
  • Bilingual
