  • Overview

    This person supports the work of the Specialty Pharmacy Manager by developing innovative contracts that align objectives to provide the best value to neighborhood for the drugs we utilize. This position is responsible for working with Neighborhood’s Provider Network Management department and will work closely with our legal team. The position works collaboratively with organizational business and operational units to ensure the pharmacy department is supported by effective, accurate and efficient business processes; reimbursement is accurately defined, communicated and configured; reporting is accurate, timely and meets all contractual requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Negotiate and execute contractual relationships to align with specific corporate and department initiatives, strategic goals and objectives
    • Implementation and monitoring of contractual terms
    • Reporting on savings from contracts
    • Explore new reimbursement methodologies
    • Meeting with and developing working relationships with pharma, vendors and providers
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood’s Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and  the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents

    Qualifications

    Required: 

    • Bachelors degree
    • 2+ Years doing Pharmaceutical Contracts for a health plan, PBM or on the pharma side of the business
    • Demonstrated negotiation skills and sales experience
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience in contract development, negotiation, financial analysis, data analysis, provider reimbursement mechanisms, contract term implementation and maintenance of contractual terms
    • Proven self-starter with ability to lead a new function
    • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Strong business communication skills (written and oral), public relations, presentation and facilitation skills

    Preferred

    • Clinical background – pharmacy technician, nurse
    • Experience with Cognos, MedInsight, SharePoint
